Weekly News

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. Over the weekend I went to Moab and had fun with my husband and friends. I want to give you all a huge thank you for making me feel special last week! Below is a little peek into our week.

In math we are measuring in centimeters and meters! It's been really fun looking for objects around the school and classroom to measure. The class is having fun with this unit. We will practice measuring this week and I plan to take the test soon.

This week in literacy we will ask and answer, "How do we use energy?" We will combine science and literacy as we talk about different energy sources! I have a science experiment planned that we will observe for the next couple of weeks. Our spelling pattern is CVCE. In writing we will continue to publish our animal reports, and begin working on a glossary.

Finally, next Tuesday, April 24th our class will take a field trip to see the play Mary Poppins Jr. In order to make it to the play on time, please make sure your child is on time to school. The bus will leave at 9:20 am.  Please remember to send a lunch with your child if you marked "home lunch" on their permission form. The class and I are looking forward to our field trip!

                                                                    Love,

                                                                       Mrs. Roddom
